Why nutrient uptake matters

Supplying nutrients is only the first step. Roots must acquire them under the moisture, oxygen, pH and salt conditions of the growing medium. What makes MCT interesting?

MCT is described as a small carbon fraction derived from carbon-rich organic material. It is discussed alongside humic and fulvic substances, but smaller size alone does not demonstrate better uptake or prove that it carries nutrients into a plant. Those observations include a Lisianthus pilot in recently steamed soil, where the treated crop produced more dry matter without extra fertilizer. This was a particular trial, not proof of the mechanism or an expected result from Nutrient Nexus. Research on humic and fulvic substances also does not directly validate MCT or this finished formulation.

How to use

• With watering: dilute and apply through your watering routine according to the label.
• Foliar application: follow the label for dilution and use on leaves.

Maintain adequate base nutrition. Do not reduce fertilizer simply because MCT has been added: any reduction needs to be evaluated against plant condition and nutrient supply. Responses depend on the crop, formulation, application method and growing conditions.
